Someone showed me this video and I thought it was neat...and something people sometimes need to be reminded of.

A Collect
O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
I dropped my iPhone last night. I've had it a week. The screen is just white. But my life is okay. I had amazing worship with MoSAIC last night and didn't think about it. I almost cried when it happened, but there are worse things in the world. This is something that is affecting me, so it's real, but there are people who can't eat. My iPhone may be dead for a bit (going to the AT&T store today), but I can get another one. It's not worth the anguish I almost had over it. I have too many things to be thankful for: food, clothes, "a shelter, a space, a safe place for growing," friends, relationships, family, opportunities to travel, generous clergy...dropping my iPhone as a reminder how temporal things here are.
